The Clothesline Quarantine Project was a youth art competition and temporary public art installation that took place in September 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. SY!C participants were asked to reflect on their mood (feelings and emotions) during the current pandemic and express these feelings and thoughts on a blank white t-shirt. 

Over 50 local youth from Socorro and surrounding communities submitted art pieces to the Clothesline Quarantine Project! These beautiful art pieces were hung on a temporary clothesline installation to represent the Socorro community. On September 25, 2020, the community was invited to take part in our first-ever drive-through art exhibit at the Rio Vista Community Center. Youth and families packed into their cars and drove through the RVCC parking lot to take in the art produced by our youth, listen to live music, and watch a live painting demonstration by our very own SY!C artists/mentors.
